School Education Dept, Karnataka has begun online registration for KARTET 2023 on 14th July, 2023. KARTET Stands for Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test. KARTET Exam is scheduled to be held on 03rd September, 2023. KARTET will be held for recruitment of Candidates is different Government Schools in Karnataka as both primary school teacher and upper primary school teachers. Interested Candidates can fill KARTET Online Application form on or before last date of submission i.e 05th August, 2023. Name of the Examination : Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET 2023)

About KARTET : KARTET will be conducted in 2 parts i.e Paper 1 and Paper 2 .  Candidates who want to become Teacher of class 1 to 5, are required to appear for Paper I  and For those who want to become Teacher of Class 6 to 8, will have to appear for Paper II.  Candidates who want to opt for both papers i.e Paper I & Paper II, they are required to submit the application fee for each paper separately.

Educational Qualification : 

1. For Class 1 to 5 : PUC/ Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed (by whatever name known)/ 4th year B.El.Ed/ 2- year D.Ed (Special Education)/ BA/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in Final-year of 2-year D.Ed (by whatever name known).

2. For Class 6 to 8 : B.A/ B.Sc with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed (by whatever name known)/ 2-year B.Ed/ 4-year B.El.Ed/ Final-year B.Ed (Special Education)/ PUC / Sr Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks & passed/ appearing in final year of 4- year B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.

Age limit : There is no age limit for applying to KARTET 2023.

Selection Process : Selection of the candidates will be based on applicant performance in  Computer based written Examination.

Application Fee : 

1. For Paper I or Paper II :

a. General, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B Candidates : Rs. 700/-

b. SC/ST/CI only : Rs. 350/-

2 For Paper I and Paper II both :

a. General, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates : Rs. 1000/-.

b. SC/ST/CI only : Rs. 500/-.
