Recruitment of JBT under Education Department Chandigarh, Apply Online

Education Department, Chandigarh Administration invites Online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Junior Basic Training (JBTs) (Primary Teacher, Class I-V) on regular Basis. Edu Department aims to fill up total 293 vacancies of JBT through this recruitment drive. The portal for filling online application will be opened on 20th July, 2023. Last date for receipt of online application is 14th August, 2023. Candidates are advised to read the recruitment notification first, then apply. Educational Qualification : Candidate must possess following qualification :

1.  Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University and 

2. Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) of not less than 02 years duration recognised by NCTE OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.). 

3. Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

Age limit : Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years but not crossed the age of 37 years as on 01.01.2023.

Selection Procedure : Selection of the candidates will be based on Merit which will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Objective type test. No Interview will be conducted.

Primary Teacher Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 - 34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-

Application Fee : 

1. Candidates belonging to SC category need to pay Rs. 500/-.

2. All other candidates has to pay Rs. 1000/-.

3. Persons with disability are exempted for payment of fee .

How to Apply : Follow the below steps to apply online.

1. Interested Candidates are required to fill online application form through the website www.cheducation.gov.in . 

2. Fill all the relevant details carefully in the online application form and after application submission, registration form will be generated.

3. Take 2 print outs of the registration form and brought the same on the date of verification of documents along with original and photocopy of all documents.
