TNPSC Civil Judge Online Form , Exam dates and salary

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has invited online Applications from eligible candidates only through online mode for direct recruitment to the post of Civil Judge in the Tamil Nadu state Judicial Service. Commission has notified 245 vacancies of civil  Judge post. Eligible & Interested Candidates can fill online registration form through the official website from 01.06.2023 to 30.06.2023. Commission will conduct Online Examination for recruitment of Civil Judge post. Preliminary Examination will be held on 19th August, 2023. Name of Post : Civil Judge

Eligibility criteria for civil judge post : 

Educational Qualification (as on 01.06.2023) :

1. For Practising Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors : Must possess a degree in Law of a University in India or any other equivalent qualification .

2. For Fresh law graduates : Must be fresh law Graduate possessing a degree in Law from a recognized University.

Note : A candidates must be a citizen of India and should possess adequate knowledge to read, write and speak in English and Tamil.

Age Limit : 

A. For Practising Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors : 

1. For SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes : Min. age 25 years and max age 42 years.

2. For Others : Min. age 25 years and Max. age 37 years.

B. For Fresh Law Graduates : Min. age is 22 years and maximum age is 29 years.

Selection Process : The selection Process comprises three successive stages viz 

1. Preliminary Examination 

2. Main Examination 

3. Viva Voce Test

Pay Scale : Rs. 27,200 to Rs. 44,770 + Allowances.

Application Fee : 

1. Registration Fee : Rs. 150/-.

2. Preliminary Examination Fee : Rs. 100/-

3. Main Examination Fee : Rs. 200/-.

Only those Candidates are required to pay Main Examination Fee later who will qualify Preliminary Examination.

How to Apply : Candidates are required to apply Online through commission's website  www.tnpsc.gov.in . Candidates are first required to register themselves, then fill the online application form with with all the details and upload scanned image of photograph, signature and other documents. After submitting the application, Candidates should take print out their application in PDF format.

Start date for online registration of application : 01.06.2023

Last date for submission of online application : 30.06.2023

Online Application correction window period : from 05.07.2023 at 12:01 A.M to 07.07.2023 upto 11:59 P.M

Date of Preliminary Examination : 19.08.2023 (from 09:30 A.M to 12:30 P.M)

Date of Main Examination (Descriptive Type) : 18.10.2023 & 29.10.2023
