Government of Tamil Nadu, Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB) invites online application for direct recruitment of the candidates to the post of Laboratory Technician Grade-III and Occupational  Therapist. MRB has total 340 vacancies, out of which 332 vacancies are for Lab Technician and 08 vacancies for Therapist post. Name of the Post : 

1. Laboratory Technician Grade-III : 332 vacancies

2. Occupational Therapist : 08 vacancy

Scale of Pay : 

1. Laboratory Technician : Rs. 13,000 per month 

2. Occupational therapist : Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 (Level-11)

Educational Qualification : 

1. Lab Technician : Must have passed plus -two examination and should have certificate in  Medical Laboratory Technology Course (one year duration). applicants must have good physique, good vision and capacity to do outdoor work.

2. For Occ. Therapist : Must have passed Higher secondary course and a Bachelor Degree in occupational therapy 3 years course with 6 months internship until 1997.

Age limit as on 01.07.2023:

1. For Laboratory Technician : The minimum age limit for all category candidates is 18 years but the maximum age limit is as follows : 

a. For SC/ST/SCA/BC/BCM/MBC & DNC/Destitute widow : No maximum age limit

b. For general category candidates : 32 years.

c. For Differently Abled Person : 42 years.

d. For Ex-Service men : 50 years

2. For Occupational therapist : Upper age limit varies for each category

a. Minimum age limit for all category candidates : 18 years 

b. SC/ST/SCA/BC/BCM/MBC & DNC/Destitute widow : No maximum age limit

c. For General category candidates : 32 years (max. age)

d. For Differently Abled Person : 42 years (max age)

e. For Ex-Service men : 50 years (max. age)

Selection Process : Selection of the candidates will be made based on the marks scored by the candidates in their Academic and technical qualification(s). There will no Oral test (interview) for both post.

Application Fee : 

1. For SC, SCA, ST, DAP(PH), DW : Rs. 300/-.

2. For others : Rs. 600/-.
